General Overview:
There will be a free agency period every offseason, and then every week for the duration of season. Free agents must be nominated (name posted in the free agency board) in order to be bid on. Free agency is a blind bid system. Bids must be sent via message to the League Office account. They will be reviewed once the bidding period is over and the highest bidder in terms of bid value (BV) wins. Bids may be between 1 and 3 years.
Bid Value:
Bid value will be calculated as the total salary offered times a multiplier dependent on the number of years offered. The calculation is:
1 year = Total Salary x 1.4
2 years = TS x 1.2
3 years = TS x 1.0
Example: Red Wings bid 3 years at $10 mil for McDavid. BV = $30 mil x 1.0 = 30 mil
Avs bid 2 years at $15 mil for McDavid. BV = $30 mil x 1.2 = 36 mil
Avs win McDavid
You may send a priority list when bidding.
Example: I want 1 of:
1. Player A
2. Player B
3. Player C
If you don't have the highest bid for Player A, your bid for Player B becomes active, etc.
